Employee relations, or how company’s management and HR professionals interact with employees, can have a significant impact on workplace culture. Maintaining strong employee relations boosts employee morale, reduce workplace dispute, and enhances productivity. Your strategy for fostering excellent employee relationships should evolve as the workplace does. Employees today come to work every day looking for meaning and happiness, not just a salary. Positive employee relationships enhance your bottom line addition to keeping your employees happy (blog, 2017)

According to (Dessler & Varkkey, 2018) Programs are used by managers and HR management to enhance positive employee interactions. Unfair treatment lowers morale, causes stress, and has a negative impact on employees, thus it should be eliminated. Managers also use communication, recognition, and employee involvement programs to establish strong working relationships.

 

The ethical organization

The standards of behavior that govern an individual or a group are referred to as ethics, and the standards you use to determine what your conduct should be are referred to as standards. Workplace ethics are shaped by a variety of variables. Individual elements, organizational factors, the boss’s influence, ethics policies and standards, and the culture of the organization are among them. Human resource management has the ability to impact ethical behavior. Some examples include having a fair and open selection process, developing particular ethics training programs, and promoting ethical work behavior.

 

Managing employee discipline

Rules and regulations, a system of graduated sanctions, and an appeals process all contribute to a fair and just discipline process. It assists employees in correcting any flaws in order to become a productive and contributing member of the workforce.

How do companies become best companies to work for?

From analyzing “best companies to work for”, such as SAS, Google, and FedEx, any manager intent on establishing great employee relations and staff engagement can draw several ideas. Their managers instill trust in their staff and ensure that they are treated fairly.

 

Conclusion

Employees that have positive relationships with their coworkers and managers are more productive. They are more inclined to give it their all and participate in the company’s projects.
